Licence to Operate a Forklift Truck
This unit of competency specifies the skills and knowledge required to operate a forklift truck safely.
This unit requires a person operating a forklift truck to plan the work, conduct routine checks on a forklift
truck, shift loads in a safe manner, and safely shut down and secure equipment after completing operations.
Duration: Initial 1-day face-to-face training, 40 workplace-based logged hours, Assessor workplace visit for Challenge test (Variable timeframe), 1 day for final assessment. This course can take up to 3 months to complete due to the timeframe around accumulation of required logged hours.
Course Cost: $861.00 per participant.

Outcome: On successful completion of all training and assessment requirements, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment for TLILIC0003 Licence to operate a forklift truck. Participants must then undertake a high-risk licence application process to gain their HRW Licence from WHSQ (Cost additional to initial training cost). Requirements:

All applicants must be at least 18 years of age

All participants are required to provide identification for sighting, and copying as necessary, preferably with a photo (e.g. driver's licence, firearms licence, passport).

You must also bring your Unique Student Identifier (USI). We are unable to generate your certification without this. If you do not have a USI, please create one at https://www.usi.gov.au/students/create-your-usi

Current employment in transport and logistics or civil construction industries, or within a workplace with access to a forklift for work purposes, to accumulate required logged hours.
