Health & Safety Representative Training - Full Course

Health and safety representatives (HSR) and health and safety committees (HSC) provide the means to:

  • give workers a voice in health and safety matters at the workplace

  • involve workers through participation and consultation.

All HSR's must undertake the relevant approved training course within three months of their election. Existing HSRs, who have not already completed the training, will have three months to undertake this training. If an initial 5 day training course is not reasonably available to the representative, they must attend as soon as practicable after that three month period. If a worker chooses not to undertake the training within the time period stated, they will no longer be eligible to fulfil the role of an HSR. (Reference: Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011 - Current as at the 01st of July 2024)

Duration: 5 days of face-to-face training

Course Cost: $1,276.00 per participant.

Outcome: On successful completion of all training and assessment requirements, participants will receive a Statement of Attendance for WHSQHSRNCB01 Health & Safety Representative (Full Course).
